It was such a privilege to be with the team at LTW in Chorley for the March Worship conference, Dave Pennington asked me to paint with his team during the event live and for all folks to enjoy seeing all four of the painters produce something prophetic / relevant to the conference.

I started at home, as I often do drawing Jesus then painting the basic colours and detail once the foundations were dry.

As you can see there were some pencil smudges I could not quite erase, but since I was about to cover him in masking tape that only just hid his outline (cut to shape).

Once covered I painted over the image with white paint and let it dry overnight just in time for the conference.

The thing I enjoyed most about this part of the piece was the detail, taking my time to work on the colour balances and shading / shadows needed to bring Jesus to life.

This is the final piece – finished and varnished with a matt finish!

The golden coloured paint is actually metallic paint and is actually glowing! Hope you enjoy this piece and it blesses you – speak soon!
